Hollywood Business Professional Women recognized Dwayne A. Gathers as their 2021 Man of Hollywood

Annually our Hollywood BPW club recognizes a man who represents the highest values of service to the community and has exhibited exceptional leadership and supports the mission of Hollywood BPW.

Mr. Gathers has been a leader in our Hollywood community, having most recently served as Board Chair of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce; President of the Board of Trustees of Hollywood Methodist Church; and currently Chairs the Board of the Hollywood Chamber
Community Foundation. Civically engaged beyond Hollywood, he has served on the board of the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation. The Broad Stage at Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center; and chaired the Board of the International Visitors Council of Los Angeles. Civic engagement and elevating the work of others in their efforts to create a more engaged and connected citizenry is also a key element of Mr. Gathers ‘s work, carried out in his bi-weekly podcast, CivitasLA.
